  • About The Contest

To celebrate the launch of the global CubesInSpace (CiS) program we are challenging students to design the very first CiS Mission Patch. The CiS program will engage students and teachers from around the world to design unique experiments, that must fit into a 40mm cube, to be launched into space on a sounding rocket from the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center Wallops Flight Facilty in Virginia, USA. With no specific experiment required of the students, this challenge will require the them to use teamwork, creativity and curiosity to design an experiment worthy of space flight.

These same skills will be required for the designer of the winning mission patch - as their creation must represent the essence of the CubesInSpace program and the efforts of the young men and woman who are putting together the experiments.
